3RD - 5TH MAY 2019 There is no mystery about where the North’s crime fiction fans will soon be heading – Newcastle Noir is back. The hugely popular literary weekend is returning for its sixth year and the event is on the move. Newcastle Noir 2019 will be held at Newcastle City Library as organisers bid to widen the appeal of the annual crime lovers’ weekend.
9-12 MAY 2019 - BRISTOL - CRIMEFEST is a convention for people who like to read an occasional crime novel as well as for die-hard fanatics. Drawing top crime novelists, readers, editors, publishers and reviewers from around the world, it gives all delegates the opportunity to celebrate the genre in a friendly, informal and inclusive atmosphere.

20th-22nd Sept. 2019 Bloody Scotland established itself as the leading Scottish International Crime Writing Festival in 2012 with acclaimed writers Lin Anderson and Alex Gray at the helm, then joined by Craig Robertson and Gordon Brown. Based in Stirling, Bloody Scotland has brought hundreds of crime writers new and established to the stage with always enthusiastic attendees who make the festival every bit as much as the writers do.

12th-15th Sept. 2019 Working with artists, writers and the extraordinary people and histories of Torbay and South Devon, International Agatha Christie Festival is an arts organisation dedicated both to promoting new stories and connecting to the voices of artists across the world. Inspired from the ingenuity and curiosities of Dame Agatha Christie Mallowan, it celebrates creativity and works to nurture and support artistic innovation, well-being and enjoyment across all ages.
The UK’s biggest live action show is staging an Open Call audition for volunteers to join its cast and crew on Wednesday, 13th March from 6pm at Flatts Farm, Bishop Auckland. The multi-award-winning shows, which run on Saturdays from 29th June to 14th September, (excluding 3 August), feature daring stunts, state-of-the-art special effects, fireworks and evocative orchestral music.

Join Geoffrey Chaucer and the colourful characters from his most famous work on their pilgrimage from London to Canterbury Cathedral, recreated for visitors in the heart of the ancient city. Live actors and wax figures will tell Chaucer's rumbustious tales of love, romance, jealousy.
25 MAY 2019 The Traquair Medieval Fayre is Scotland’s only authentic Medieval Fayre and is an unbeatable mix of medieval entertainment from jousting to jesters in the grounds of Scotland’s Oldest Inhabited House. This is truly a family event with Jousting down the great grassed avenue of Traquair as well as a cannon firing display to start the event, archery, military drills and the occasional skirmish throughout the weekend.
13 - 14 JULY 2019 In 1984, a group of local eccentrics announced they were going to re-enact the Battle of Tewkesbury. It has grown to become the largest event of its kind in Europe.
